Priya's latest project is a labor of love. She is the creator and star of a new series called FOBia. A comedy about being a FOB (Fresh Off the Boat) immigrant in America.  You can watch the pilot HERE.

About Priya

Priya grew up in India as a military brat which took her to different corners of the country. Even as a child, she was quite a drama queen - acting out her favorite scenes for an audience consisting of her dolls and her slightly exasperated parents- but it would be a while before she found her true calling as an actress/writer/director.

Priya came to the US in 2008 to pursue her MBA at Duke University (Go Blue Devils!), after which she started working in the corporate world  in America. A series of fortunate events led  to her taking an acting workshop which is where she was bitten by the proverbial acting bug.  You can learn more about Priya's journey in her interview with Chicago Tribune.

Since then, Priya has been working in plays and films while also doing some voiceover work. Some of her notable credits include the Jeff nominated world premier of 'Queen' at Victory Gardens, Jeff recommended Pillars of the Community at Strawdog Theatre and the critically acclaimed Gender Breakdown.  Nothing makes her happier than acting - except maybe reading Harry Potter for the umpteenth time.
